Southern Roots Rockers Volume Two is the second
release in LocoBop’s series of southern fried music
performed by some of the most authentic interpreters
of the genre. The DNA of Southern Roots Rock is
composed of rich Delta soil, Beale Street blues,
Texas boogie, steamy Gulf Coast gumbo, packed Cajun
dance halls, New Orleans reels, and honest-to-God
rock & roll.
Artists featured in this volume are: harmonica
virtuoso Tommy Dardar from Houston, Texas;
The Pale Prince of Beale Street, otherwise known as
Papa Don McMinn; Memphis guitarist Terry
Wall and his band, The Wallbangers;
The Anderson Brothers from Shreveport,
Louisiana; Jackson, Mississippi natives Barranco,
Barrett, and Crocker; Nashville stalwarts The
Pitifuls; and the man from Memphis, whose legend
is itself legend, Don Nix
